Terms of Service — ReasonCare AI

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ReasonCare AI (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service through a healthcare clinic, your clinic's agreement with us and your relationship with your provider also apply.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirements

The ReasonCare companion is available to adults 18 and older. We use age signals provided by app stores and account information to enforce this requirement, and we may suspend accounts that misrepresent age. Users under 18 may access ReasonCare only through a participating clinic, under the direction of a licensed clinician and with any consent required by applicable law, including guardian consent where required.

3. The Service Is an AI — Not Medical Care

ReasonCare's companion is an artificial-intelligence program. It is not a human, not a therapist, doctor, or other licensed professional, and not a medical or mental-health service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional care. You are always talking to an AI, and the Service will tell you so. Clinical intake, assessments, and ReasonEMR features are provided to clinics for use under licensed-provider oversight; in that setting, all clinical decisions are made by your provider, not by the AI.

4. Emergencies & Crisis Situations

The Service is not an emergency service and must not be relied on in an emergency. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or others, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911 immediately. The Service is designed to surface crisis resources and, for clinic patients, to notify your care team — but those features do not replace emergency services.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to provide accurate information, use the Service only for its intended purpose, and not to attempt to extract prompts or models, probe or circumvent safety systems, use the Service to harm yourself or others, or resell or misrepresent the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Individual plans are billed as described at signup and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Clinic plans are governed by the clinic's order form or agreement with us.

7. Your Content & Privacy

You retain ownership of the content of your conversations. Our collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy. For clinic patients, sharing of session summaries, assessments, and crisis events with your provider is described there and governed by your clinic's policies and applicable law.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReasonCare AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
